About the Role

This full‑time position (38.5 hours per week) offers the opportunity to join the team as a Software Test Engineer. The role involves close collaboration with software developers and logistics experts to ensure high-quality software delivery. Work includes testing both emulated and real logistics hardware and participating in system commissioning at customer sites.

The position requires a proactive, independent approach and the ability to apply modern tools and AI to accelerate testing and deployment. German and English communication skills are essential, and up to 50% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with software developers and logistics specialists
  • Create, maintain, and execute structured software test plans
  • Test software on both emulated and real logistics hardware
  • Commission systems directly at customer facilities
  • Work with customers to ensure software meets practical requirements
  • Apply AI and modern tools creatively to accelerate testing and commissioning

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with the Linux command line
  • Basic programming experience in at least one modern language (preferably Java or Scala)
  • Experience with structured or formal software testing
  • Independent, hands-on work approach
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Customer-oriented thinking and strong quality awareness
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commissioning or testing logistics systems
  • Familiarity with AI tools for software testing
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative team environment
