Groupama Supports et Services (G2S) is part of the Groupama Group, providing technical support and services for the company’s decision-making platforms. The Data Technical Foundations (Socles Techniques Data – STD) team ensures the performance and evolution of the Group’s data systems. Organized into centers of expertise, the team defines development standards and usage guidelines, supports developers, delivers turnkey projects, and continuously improves user experience.

The Group’s data platform is central to its Information System (Data-Centric Architecture), integrating Big Data technologies with a Hadoop Data Lake, Oracle high-availability clusters, and BDA/Exadata Data Warehouse, accessed via multiple Datamarts.

About the Role

The Tech Lead Data – Spark/Scala will join the STD team to build and lead the Spark expertise center. The role involves setting standards, mentoring developers, optimizing data workflows, and contributing to the administration and evolution of the Group’s data platforms. This position offers the opportunity to become a reference point for Spark expertise within the organization and to lead technical projects according to G2S norms.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to creating the Spark expertise center and become its technical reference
  • Define norms and best practices aligned with G2S standards
  • Support developers in using tools and the work environment
  • Participate in platform administration and application supervision
  • Contribute to the evolution of tools (version upgrades, new use cases)
  • Conduct technology watch and stay updated on tool advancements
  • Provide expert support for Spark, assist in optimization, and audit adherence to standards
  • Lead projects according to G2S norms when required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in decision-support systems and Spark/Scala for high-volume data processing
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and Oracle databases
  • Familiarity with GIT
  • Knowledge of DataIku, QlikSense, or SAS is a plus
  • Strong technical interest and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent listening, teaching, and mentoring skills
  • Rigorous, organized, and autonomous
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create presentation materials and lead a developer community
  • Capacity to promote and enforce best practices
