About the Role

The Full Stack Scala-Angular Developer will design and develop high-performance tools to enhance the client experience in the insurance domain. The role focuses on building modular APIs and user interfaces while contributing to continuous improvement and modernization of applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop scalable software solutions in Scala
  • Maintain modular and integrable APIs (Scala) and user interfaces (Angular)
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and modernization of application domains
  • Become a technical expert in a specific part of the application domain
  • Collaborate with other developers to improve systems and processes
  • Mentor peers through code reviews, pair programming, and guidance

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills (Java 8+)
  • Proficiency in functional programming with Scala
  • Experience with relational databases such as Db2
  • Solid experience in component-based architecture using Angular (React or Vue.js also acceptable)
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Ability to consume and integrate REST APIs
  • Experience integrating designs from Figma
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Kubernetes, Jenkins) and monitoring tools (Instana, Sentry)
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and ability to propose and justify architectural choices
  • Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn
  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB
  • Knowledge of event-driven programming (event sourcing) with Kafka
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with JSON-API standards
