About the Role
The Scala Developer role contributes to the creation of high-impact software solutions, including applications that enhance the logistics network, improve customer experiences, and integrate with webshop platforms.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing scalable software solutions.
- Collaborating within scrum teams to achieve project goals.
- Working in two-week sprints, balancing development tasks with team discussions.
- Contributing to innovative software and applications that optimize logistics operations.
The position is based at the DHL eCommerce headquarters in Utrecht. The Digital and IT department consists of 250 employees working across multiple teams and functions.
Requirements
- Minimum HBO or WO work- and thinking-level education.
- Extensive experience in Scala development.
- Familiarity with Docker, GitHub, and Jenkins.
- Experience or interest in event-driven systems, Kafka, and ZIO.
- Knowledge of cloud-based solutions.
The role requires strong teamwork and the ability to develop large-scale platforms using modern technologies.
