About the Role
The Scala/Spark Developer – AWS Cloud will work on designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines and data processing workflows in Spark/Scala, while managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure on AWS. The role is suitable for proactive, autonomous professionals who enjoy solving complex data challenges and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
This is a hybrid position focused on delivering high-impact solutions for cloud-based data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop ETL transformations using Scala and Spark on AWS infrastructure
- Manage and execute code on EMR clusters, Lambda functions, and Step Functions
- Create and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform (Glue Catalog, S3, code artifacts, etc.)
- Analyze data from multiple sources and propose efficient processing solutions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document system evolutions using collaborative tools
- Present and explain complex solutions clearly to stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Strong expertise in Scala and Spark for data pipeline development
- Experience with AWS services: EMR, S3, Lambda, and Step Functions
- Knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle databases
- Experience with GitHub and infrastructure management using Terraform
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
- Good communication, teamwork, and results-oriented mindset
- Combines strong technical development skills with analytical insight on cloud data processes
- Comfortable making technical decisions and proposing improvements in infrastructure and workflows
- Adaptable to changing and collaborative environments
