About the Role
The DevOps Scala Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable Azure infrastructure solutions, focusing on data platforms and CI/CD pipelines. The role involves working with Databricks (Spark), Snowflake, Scala programming, and automation tools to optimize system performance and maintain high standards of security and compliance.
This is a hybrid role based in Madrid, Spain, with one day per week on-site. Contract and permanent options are available.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and stable Azure infrastructure solutions
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Automate tasks using scripting tools, preferably Python
- Ensure security and compliance with Azure policies and procedures
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues
- Collaborate with software developers to optimize application performance
- Manage infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform or ARM templates
- Implement automation tools and frameworks for CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and proactively implement solutions
- Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation
- Provide training and support to internal teams on DevOps practices
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5–9 years of experience in software development, system administration, or IT roles
- Strong knowledge of Azure services and DevOps methodologies
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming, especially Python
- Strong knowledge of Databricks (Spark) and Snowflake
- Programming experience with Scala
- Knowledge of Lang Graph is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
