About the Role
A Data Scientist is required to join the Data & Analytics team. The role focuses on transforming complex datasets into actionable business insights that support strategic decision-making. The position involves close collaboration with business leaders, product managers, and engineers to develop data-driven solutions aligned with organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Understand business challenges and use data to develop solutions aligned with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with leadership to define the data science roadmap and priorities.
- Build, deploy, and maintain machine learning models for forecasting and optimisation.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights.
- Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the data science pipeline.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure business requirements are met.
- Stay updated with trends in data science, AI, and machine learning.
Requirements
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data science.
- Experience applying data science to solve business problems.
- Strong understanding of business operations and strategy alignment.
- Ability to communicate technical insights to business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or Scala.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Scikit-learn.
- Experience with SQL and large datasets.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop or Spark.
