About the Role
A full-time Data Engineer is sought to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and modern data architectures. The position involves ensuring data quality, availability, and reliability while working closely with technical and business teams to improve data accessibility and usage.
The role is fully remote and is available to candidates located in Bogotá, Colombia, or Buenos Aires (AMBA).
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and efficient data pipelines.
- Build and maintain modern data architectures.
- Ensure data availability, quality, and reliability.
- Implement and optimize ETL and ELT processes.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to improve data accessibility and utilization.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with Scala or Java.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with tools including Airflow, dbt, Kafka, and Spark.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, ETL and ELT best practices, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Delta Lake.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with machine learning pipelines or MLOps.
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, or data cataloging.
