About the Role
A Data Engineer position is available to support the design and development of a new Azure-based data platform within the logistics domain. The role focuses on building scalable data solutions for analytics and data science use cases, working within a modern cloud and big data environment.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of a new data platform in the Azure Cloud within the logistics area.
- Build data models aligned with business analytics and data science requirements.
- Organize and structure data assets using modern cloud and big data technologies.
- Connect data sources and develop data transformation and integration workflows.
- Collaborate closely with specialists in an agile environment, including DevOps and data architecture experts.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong experience with cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure, including Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Solid knowledge of data modeling, data storage, and data access techniques, with experience in big data and integration architectures.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, and SQL.
- Experience working with distributed systems and tools such as dbt, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or Apache Beam.
- Good command of German or French, and good English skills.
