For this position, Integrify is recruiting an experienced Scala Developer for one of its client companies in Finland.

About the Role

The company is seeking a Scala Developer to join an experienced software development team working on cloud-based software solutions.

The developer will contribute across different stages of the software development lifecycle and participate in technical design and implementation decisions. The role focuses primarily on Scala development within an AWS environment while also offering opportunities to work with additional technologies when required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications primarily using Scala.
  • Work with cloud-based software solutions in an AWS environment.
  • Participate in software architecture and technical design decisions.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of software solutions.
  • Maintain high code quality through testing and code reviews.
  • Follow shared software development practices.
  • Collaborate with other developers and technical specialists.
  • Use additional technologies depending on project requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing solutions.
  • Work according to Agile development practices.
  • Take responsibility for continuous professional development.

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience in software development.
  • Practical experience with Scala.
  • Interest in functional programming.
  • Good understanding of software development practices.
  • Experience with software testing.
  • Strong focus on code quality.
  • Experience with cloud-based development or strong interest in developing cloud expertise.
  • Experience with or interest in AWS.
  • Willingness to work with Java, Clojure, and TypeScript when required.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Proactive approach to professional development.
  • Fluent Finnish.
  • Fluent English.
