About the Role
Amaris Consulting is looking for a FullStack Developer (Scala/Java & Angular) to join its team in Luxembourg. The role involves developing modern, scalable applications in an agile environment, working across both backend and frontend technologies, and contributing to software quality and engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Scala or Java.
- Develop REST APIs using the Play Framework.
- Build responsive user interfaces with Angular.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
- Develop data solutions using MongoDB and SQL databases.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and application quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a FullStack Developer.
- Strong experience with Scala.
- Good knowledge of Java and the JVM ecosystem.
- Experience with the Play Framework.
- Strong knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Experience with Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB.
- Knowledge of REST API development and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with Git and Agile methodologies.
- Good communication skills and a proactive mindset.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with functional programming.
- Knowledge of Spring Boot or Akka/Pekko.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies.
