About the Role
Test Driven Solutions is seeking a Scala Developer to contribute to client software projects and support the creation and onboarding of project teams.
The role involves integrating project teams into client organizations, supporting communication between internal and external stakeholders, monitoring progress, and helping maintain an agile and collaborative working environment.
The position is open to candidates based in Newcastle, the surrounding area, or Scotland and offers a hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Develop software using Scala and related technologies.
- Contribute to greenfield and brownfield client projects.
- Help create and onboard new project teams.
- Support the integration of project teams into client organizations.
- Communicate the project and product vision clearly.
- Facilitate communication and information exchange between project teams and external groups.
- Monitor project progress.
- Provide timely feedback to project stakeholders.
- Support a culture of agility, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Work with colleagues across different technical disciplines.
- Apply analytical and critical-thinking skills to project challenges.
Requirements
- Scala development skills.
- Experience working with SQL databases such as Sybase or DB2.
- Experience using Autosys.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Strong observational and analytical abilities.

- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within project and client teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Spring or Play Framework.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases.
