About the Role
The Data Developer role focuses on building and managing complex data pipelines while ensuring the technical quality and reliability of data processes. The position involves working with Python and Scala to design scalable backend architectures and optimize data ingestion workflows.
The role is based in La Garenne-Colombes, France, with a hybrid work model offering 50 percent remote work each week. The contract duration is planned for three years.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex functionalities using Python and Scala
- Ensure accurate implementation aligned with product requirements and micro-interactions
- Design and evolve a modular and scalable backend architecture with reusable components
- Manage and optimize data flows across systems
- Improve data ingestion performance including load time, reliability, and retry mechanisms
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews to maintain high code quality
- Document technical decisions and system architecture
Required Skills
- Strong experience designing data workflows with multiple layers and data validation processes
- Advanced knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, Glue, Redshift, Step Functions, and DynamoDB
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Functions and CosmosDB
- Solid development experience with Python and Scala
- Experience with streaming technologies including Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hub, and Event Grid
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows
- Fluent English
