About the Role
Proxiad is looking for a Senior Tech Lead Data – Scala/Java to join its Data Platform team in Lyon. You will play a key role in architecture, technical leadership, and delivery of large-scale data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the technical architecture of Data solutions
- Lead the design and development of large-scale data pipelines
- Provide technical guidance to teams (code reviews, best practices, mentoring)
- Ensure robustness, performance, security, and scalability of solutions
- Recommend technological improvements and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate closely with development, production, and business teams
Technologies & Environment
- Languages: Scala and/or Java (functional programming)
- Data & Streaming: Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, Apache Spark
- Cloud & Big Data: GCP or AWS – BigQuery, BigTable, Cloud Storage, Dataproc
- Architecture: Microservices, APIs
- CI/CD & DevOps: GitLab CI/CD, Docker Compose, Kubernetes
- Quality: Unit and integration testing
- Systems: Linux, command line
- Methodology: Agile / Scrum
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Scala and/or Java development
- Strong expertise in distributed and streaming data processing
- Excellent knowledge of advanced SQL and BigQuery
- Deep understanding of Data and microservices architectures
- Comfortable working in high-volume Cloud environments
