About the Role
Info Support is seeking a researcher to contribute to a project focused on developing code quality metrics for Scala. Building on previous research that demonstrated a relationship between software metrics and bug density in Scala projects, the role aims to extend this work by creating a quality scoring approach for Scala source code.
The successful candidate will research code quality metrics and guidelines for Scala, identify language constructs associated with software defects, and contribute to integrating code analysis into continuous integration pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on code quality metrics for Scala.
- Extend previous research on bug prediction and code quality assessment.
- Investigate object-oriented and functional programming metrics applicable to Scala.
- Identify Scala language constructs that are associated with software defects.
- Contribute to the development of code analysis methods for continuous integration pipelines.
- Collaborate with the Info Support Research Center and research community.
Requirements
- B2-level proficiency in Dutch.
- Interest in Scala and software quality research.
- Ability to conduct research on programming language metrics and code analysis.
