About the Role
A Data Engineer – Spark/Scala is sought to contribute to the design, development, and optimization of Big Data solutions supporting a strategic Data Warehouse environment. The position involves working on large-scale data processing initiatives, participating in architectural evolution, and collaborating with both technical and business teams within an Agile framework.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance Big Data processing solutions using Spark and Scala to support a strategic Data Warehouse.
- Contribute to the technical design and evolution of Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures.
- Maintain and enhance existing data processing solutions.
- Participate in unit and integration testing activities to ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Improve the performance and reliability of production data processing workflows.
- Support deployment activities and manage pre-production and production environments.
- Work within Agile methodologies and collaborate closely with project and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Spark and Scala.
- Proven experience in Big Data environments, including Hadoop, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and version control tools such as GitLab.
- Experience delivering projects involving large volumes of data in industrial environments.
- Knowledge of Apache Mesos is considered an advantage.
- Strong interest in technology and emerging trends.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Fluent French language skills are required.
