About the Role
The Back-End Scala Developer role is part of the R&D team, which includes backend and frontend developers, SRE engineers, and UX specialists. The position focuses on designing and developing critical services that handle sensitive data flows within secure production environments.
The role involves working on event-driven microservices and contributing to a platform that automates and secures the lifecycle of digital certificates and identities for large organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions
- Develop new backend features and services
- Design and optimize APIs
- Contribute to testing and quality assurance processes
- Ensure system robustness, performance, and security
- Maintain and improve technical documentation
- Work within Agile development processes
Requirements
- Degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Scala development
- Strong knowledge of Java and Scala
- Experience with Scala ecosystem tools and frameworks
- Familiarity with Play Framework, Pekko, and MongoDB
- Experience with event-driven architecture and microservices
- Strong interest in modern technologies and software development
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility
