About the Role
The role is for a Data Engineer joining a strategic project for a major multinational client. The position involves contributing to the development of new solutions within an international setup. The main focus is on building scalable end-to-end data frameworks and designing modern AWS-based platforms, with involvement from early definition stages through to production deployment.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, testing, and deploying data pipelines and cloud platforms on AWS
- Building and evolving reusable data frameworks beyond isolated developments
- Implementing Data Lake, Lakehouse, or Data Mesh architectures depending on business needs
- Collaborating with Data, Analytics, and DevOps teams on high-impact technical deliveries
- Ensuring data quality, security, governance, and incident resolution throughout the full lifecycle
Requirements
- Senior Data Engineer experience (3+ years) in end-to-end development and cloud environments
- Strong technical knowledge of Spark/Scala, Python, SQL, and AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, and Lambda
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and scalable solution design
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with ownership of delivered projects
- Fluent English (C1 level) required for international collaboration
- Current residence in Spain, specifically in Madrid, Jaén, Málaga, Granada, Córdoba, or Sevilla
