About the Role
A Spark Scala Developer position focused on building and maintaining data processing applications using Apache Spark and Scala. The role involves working with data-driven solutions in a collaborative environment, supporting cross-functional teams. The compensation range for this position is CAD 65-69 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Spark applications using Scala
- Write efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions
- Develop and support data processing workflows using Apache Spark
Requirements
- Proficiency in Scala and Java programming
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (Core, SQL, DataFrames, Datasets)
- Familiarity with Maven for build and dependency management
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem
- Experience with CI/CD processes and Helios
- Experience developing Spring Boot web services and writing SQL queries
