About the Role
A contract Data Engineer is sought to support data extraction, transformation, and pipeline development in a fully remote LATAM-based role.
The position is execution-focused and involves working hands-on with data systems, optimizing workflows, and delivering reliable outputs in a fast-paced environment. The role includes working with Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms such as Azure Synapse or Databricks.
Responsibilities
- Extract and transform data from complex systems, including Salesforce.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analytics purposes.
- Work with Python notebooks to process and manipulate data.
- Support and maintain data pipelines and assist in moving data into a centralized data warehouse.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve data accessibility and usability.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with Python, particularly in notebook environments.
- Basic knowledge of PySpark.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Databricks.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with Salesforce data.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including ETL and ELT processes.
