About the Role
A Data Engineer is sought to contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of scalable, business-oriented data products within the Azure ecosystem. The role involves working closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to build reliable and efficient data solutions using modern Azure technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines in Azure Cloud.
- Work with Azure Synapse Analytics, Synapse Notebooks, Azure Data Lake Storage, PySpark, and SQL.
- Build data transformations and models following dimensional modeling principles.
- Develop scalable and efficient batch and incremental data pipelines.
- Implement data quality controls and monitoring using Azure Monitor.
- Automate deployment processes with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to translate business requirements into data solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in data engineering using Microsoft Azure.
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Azure Synapse Analytics and Synapse Notebooks.
- Azure Data Lake Storage.
- PySpark and SQL.
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Data Warehouse and Data Lake architectures.
- Knowledge of data modeling principles and engineering best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning and ML pipelines.
- Knowledge of Scala and/or Java.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI.
