About the Role
PeoplePilot is seeking a Spark Scala Developer to build reliable and high-performing data processing applications. The role focuses on designing and developing Apache Spark applications using Scala, collaborating with engineering teams, and supporting modern software delivery practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Apache Spark applications using Scala.
- Build clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the development process.
- Develop data services, SQL queries, and Spring Boot integrations where required.
- Support CI/CD practices and modern software delivery workflows.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of software engineering or data engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Scala and Java.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark Core, Spark SQL, DataFrames, and Datasets.
- Experience with Maven, Git, the Hadoop ecosystem, CI/CD, Spring Boot, and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
