About the Role
VOIS is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that support analytics and data consumption across the organization. The role focuses on developing ETL/ELT solutions using Scala, SQL, and Apache Spark, working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, and supporting workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The successful candidate will collaborate with analytics, data science, and product teams to deliver reliable and high-quality data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines for analytics and downstream data consumption.
- Design and develop ETL/ELT processes using Scala, SQL, and Apache Spark.
- Process large-scale datasets using distributed systems and big data technologies.
- Utilize cloud-native data services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Support workloads running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) where required.
- Ensure data quality, availability, reliability, and performance across data pipelines.
- Collaborate with analytics, data science, and product teams to deliver well-structured datasets.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in data engineering.
- Strong experience with distributed data processing frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable data architectures.
- Proficiency in Scala programming.
- Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and analytical queries.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark.
- Experience with Cassandra and Redis.
- Experience with GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage.
- Experience working in multi-cloud environments.
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- German language proficiency is desirable.
