About the Role

The Data Engineer will join an advanced analytics and data engineering team, focusing on building and optimizing large-scale data solutions using Databricks. The role involves working on modern data platforms to support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.

This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design high-performance data architectures and ensure reliable, scalable data pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines using Databricks technologies
  • Build and maintain ETL processes using Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow
  • Architect and implement data lakehouse solutions with strong focus on data quality and governance
  • Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency across cloud platforms
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in data engineering
  • Develop and maintain documentation, data models, and technical standards
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production data issues
  • Stay updated with emerging trends in data engineering and Databricks ecosystem

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow
  • Strong proficiency in Python and or Scala
  • Deep understanding of distributed data processing and ETL concepts
  • Experience with cloud storage platforms such as Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, or Google Cloud Storage
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with CI and CD practices, DevOps, and infrastructure as code
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Upper Intermediate English level or higher
