About the Role
The Data Engineer will join an advanced analytics and data engineering team, focusing on building and optimizing large-scale data solutions using Databricks. The role involves working on modern data platforms to support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design high-performance data architectures and ensure reliable, scalable data pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines using Databricks technologies
- Build and maintain ETL processes using Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow
- Architect and implement data lakehouse solutions with strong focus on data quality and governance
- Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency across cloud platforms
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in data engineering
- Develop and maintain documentation, data models, and technical standards
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production data issues
- Stay updated with emerging trends in data engineering and Databricks ecosystem
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow
- Strong proficiency in Python and or Scala
- Deep understanding of distributed data processing and ETL concepts
- Experience with cloud storage platforms such as Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, or Google Cloud Storage
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with CI and CD practices, DevOps, and infrastructure as code
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Upper Intermediate English level or higher
