About the Role
The Scala Software Engineer role is open to multiple levels, from Junior to Senior. Engineers will work on designing, implementing, and maintaining critical applications in Scala while contributing to a microservice-based architecture. The position requires close collaboration with business analysts and stakeholders, as well as active participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain business-critical applications in Scala
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders on requirements
- Contribute to microservice-based architectures
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and continuous platform improvements
- Support the stability and performance of live systems
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with Scala and functional programming
- Experience with Akka and/or Typelevel (Cats)
- Knowledge of API design and relational databases
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
- No visa sponsorship required
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting (Lisbon office, 3 days onsite)
