About the Role
A Senior Data Engineer role is available within Fleming’s data team. The position focuses on building and maintaining reliable data infrastructure that supports analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. The role is hands-on and involves designing and managing end-to-end data pipelines and orchestration workflows in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery
- Develop and maintain orchestration workflows for automation, scheduling, and monitoring of data processes
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and lineage across datasets
- Optimize ETL and ELT processes to ensure analytics-ready data
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources into unified datasets
- Improve infrastructure through automation, testing, and monitoring practices
- Contribute to technical decisions around data architecture and pipeline design
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale production datasets
- Experience in data pipeline development, orchestration, and ETL/ELT processes
- Experience with data modelling, transformation, and system integration
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Scala, or JavaScript
- Understanding of data quality, monitoring, and reliability principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues
- Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluency in English and Lithuanian
