About the Role
The Senior Java Engineer role focuses on building and enhancing a critical enterprise Master Data Platform. This platform is responsible for maintaining key demographic data and enabling reliable data management across multiple business entities.
The position involves developing scalable backend services, solving complex integration challenges, and ensuring high standards of data accuracy, security, and compliance. The role plays an important part in supporting operational efficiency, risk management, and customer experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high performance applications using Java
- Work with Graph databases and Scala-based components for data processing
- Support large-scale big data systems with real-time data processing
- Build and optimize systems for transaction monitoring and fraud detection
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance
- Contribute to integration between multiple enterprise systems
- Maintain high standards of data security, privacy, and compliance
Requirements
- Strong experience with Java including concurrency, JVM, and JMM
- Experience with Graph databases and Scala
- Exposure to big data technologies and distributed systems
- Experience building streaming data architectures
- Knowledge of data mesh, data lakes, and data warehousing solutions
- Experience with Kubernetes including building operators
- Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Experience with Docker and cloud platforms or OpenShift
- Experience with Java profiling and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of MongoDB
- Understanding of data governance and master data management
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise platforms
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
