About the Role
The Software Development Engineer will contribute to building advanced solutions for road features, navigation systems, and high-definition mapping. The role is part of a cross-functional, self-organized team working on scalable and high-impact projects.
Responsibilities include
- Take ownership of existing data processing pipelines and continuously improve and scale them
- Design and implement new data processing pipelines
- Collect and monitor performance metrics to ensure system efficiency
- Contribute to defining and implementing security best practices
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language such as C++, Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS including S3, EC2, IAM, EMR, Glue, Athena, or Kinesis
- Solid understanding of SQL and database engine fundamentals
- Knowledge of distributed computing principles
- Experience with workflow management tools such as Airflow, Oozie, or Luigi
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to justify technical decisions
- Problem-solving mindset with creativity and resourcefulness
- Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken
Nice to Have
• Experience in mapping, navigation, or automotive industries
• Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark
