About the Role
Meritis is seeking a Data Engineer to join a strategic project for one of its major clients.
The engineer will work on large-scale data processing and optimization challenges, with a focus on distributed data pipelines, ETL and ELT processes, and Big Data technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop distributed data pipelines using Apache Spark and Scala.
- Develop ETL and ELT processes for large volumes of data.
- Implement complex data transformations using Spark DataFrame, Dataset, and SQL.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and traceability.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of data architectures.
- Optimize data-processing performance.
- Work with large-scale Big Data environments.
- Collaborate with project teams on data engineering requirements and solutions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent Bac+5 qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Data, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries.
- Experience optimizing SQL performance.
- Strong experience with Spark or PySpark.
- Very good Python skills.
- Experience working in Big Data environments.
- Ability to develop and maintain large-scale data processing solutions.
